Woke Broke List is a corporate accountability guide. We grade well-known companies on their public record so shoppers can decide where to spend their money.
What we publish
- Woke Company Reports: each report grades a company from A to F, with a score out of 100, and lists the findings behind the grade.
- The Boycott List: companies graded D or F.
- Better Alternatives: brands graded A, B or C, grouped by category, such as athletic shoes, denim, payments and streaming.
- News: articles about corporate activism, DEI policies and the consumer backlash to them.
How we grade
Every company starts at 100 and loses points for public, sourced findings in 17 categories, such as DEI hiring, political giving, advocacy and lobbying, and marketing. A higher score is better. The full rules, including how sources are weighed and how findings age, are on our Methodology page.
Sources come first
Every finding in a report links to its source, such as a company’s own filings, policies and statements, government records, or news reports. Grades and scores are our opinion, based on the public facts shown in each report.
Corrections
If you believe a report gets a fact wrong, tell us through our Contact page. Include the page link, the exact statement, and a link to a public document that shows the correct fact. Companies can also send public documents showing a change, such as a new or ended policy, for review under our Methodology.
